Maaaaan! We got what, three fights in the entire season?! And one of them was really short!

I started watching Akanesasu Shoujo, but the characters are annoying and feel exactly as 'designed by a marketing committee' as I was worried they would. It could get good later, but I'm not going to bother finishing the episode unless you tell me it gets good in future episodes.

SSSS Gridman, the amnesia is a pretty cliched start and super sentai and kaiju aren't really my thing, but there's something likeable about it somehow. And the kaiju rising up from the mist was cool-looking, and all the little atmospheric things that seem off.  But why is everyone so weirdly unconcerned about a kid with no memory and possible hallucinations? The fight was kind of the least interesting part.

I've also dropped Slime but am still collecting it. I'll maybe watch a few episodes in a row near the end of the season to see if I still want to keep going with it, but Goblin Slayer is a lot more serious in tone and Slime sort of can't decide if it's serious or not.

Tonari No Vampire does these funny little things with the trope by making them super-normal even though everyone expects horrifying vampire stuff. The main character Vampire is more afraid of the human girl than the other way around (the human is obsessed with dolls and the Vampire looks like one, and the Vampire is also afraid of ghost stories and horror movies which the human is fine with). The Vampire Girl has had no social life for hundreds of years so she'll be all "HOLY SHIT, YOU HAVE FOUR FRIENDS?"

She just told this story that sounded horrifying, a vampire girl transformed the rest of her family into vampires and they were imagining a monster situation, only to find out that the family was kind of miffed with the girl because the timing was bad (the little sister hasn't gone through puberty yet, the dad would've rather become a vampire before his hair started thinning, same with the mom and wrinkles and the daughter's been apologizing about it for hundreds of years).

Or how the Vampire is reading a manga about high school girls, imagines that being a high school girl is awesome and compares it to her own life, where all she does is go for walks, watch TV, go on the computer, and tend to a bonsai tree (at this point, she has a horrifying realization that she's basically an elderly person).

Funny little slice-of-life stuff.

Irozoku Sekai is moving a little too slow for me for how packed the season is, but I may still watch one of the last few episodes just to see if she gets over her hatred of magic and lack-of-colour in her life

Tsurune Ep1

A late straggler enters the scene, why do you do this to me, anime season?

Also it speaks my language, why do you do this to me, anime season? ;_;

It's a little melancholy and anime-japan as fuck (I judge anime harshly based on how they animate their cherry blossoms, this one passes the test) and it's about... an archery club. The first few minutes are about the main character as a kid getting excited by the sound a bowstring makes when firing an arrow (which I guess is called "Tsurune") and it just immediately had me from there.

We'll see if it sticks or not next week.

Sounds good, but probably not my thing, unless it turns out to be the next 3gatsu. If you're dropping Irozuku, I'll go with Bunnygirl, then.  Tonari no Vampire does sound pretty funny.
